Concept for final project

I am still at a loss for what exactly i want to do with my open ended last piece. I am thinking of playing to my more familiar experiences with 2-d mediums such as painting drawing and most specifically spray painting. Enclosed are two of my peices that i plan to use as a jumping off point.

Tree Project Statement

     The Tree project holds a particular interest to me mainly on the fact that I have done woodworking in the past. Trees have always interested me and their mysteries of beautiful colors and lines can only be hidden beneath the surface of a ugly dieing tree. This is going to be one of my main jumping off points in this project. Perhaps i will use myself in it carving the tree that will in turn be made out of myself. This also relates to the concept of learning a skill and thus learning about yourself as you perfect said skill. I want to also relate to the inner beauty aspect of trees in that a nasty bumpy burl turns out to hold beautiful grain patterns and colors. Again this being a metaphor for inner light and beauty.
